The Larch Cladding Company is proud to announce its support for The Joshua Tree, a Cheshire-based charity that supports families affected by childhood cancer.

We first collaborated with The Joshua Tree when we took part in the BBC’s DIY SOS: The Big Build. We provided timber cladding for a 375 m² extension to the charity’s family support centre. Completed in just 12 days, it was one of Children in Need’s largest and most ambitious projects. Having witnessed the positive impact that this development had on the lives of the children and their families, the team at The Larch Cladding Company wanted to do more. We are therefore delighted to announce this new partnership and pledge our support for this much-needed cause.
The Joshua Tree was established in 2006 by Lynda and Dai Hill after their son Joshua was diagnosed with cancer when he was just five years old. From its centres in Sandiway, Cheshire and Penrhos Manor in Colwyn Bay, the charity provides bespoke emotional, psychological, and wellbeing support for almost 400 families navigating a devastating childhood cancer diagnosis. Demand has grown year on year and having doubled in size over the past four years, it now requires approximately £1 million per year to operate.
Commenting on this partnership, Mathew Davies, Director of The Larch Cladding Company, said:
“Taking part in The Big Build was a humbling experience. Meeting the families and realising how important The Joshua Tree is to them during such challenging times was particularly moving. As a group of socially conscious companies, we recognise the importance of giving back to local communities and hope to make a meaningful difference. I’m very proud of our team’s commitment to helping local families when it matters most.”
The Larch Cladding Company operates as part of a larger group of companies, which is committed to responsible woodland management, sustainable production, and long-term environmental stewardship. Each division within the group will collaborate to raise funds for The Joshua Tree while increasing awareness of its vital work. Throughout the year, we will be participating in various fundraising initiatives led by our team, and donations can be made via our JustGiving page.
